PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Sr.
Director of Safety plays a critical role on our team by building and driving a culture of Safety at USS.
This position leads field personnel and assists in executing health and safety policies and procedures and behavior-based safety programs.
Ensures the workplace is in compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations and that periodic safety audits are conducted.
Essential Functions:
Lead field-based Safety Managers to partner with company managers and staff to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement consistent safety policies and procedures.
Lead in the development and management of behavior-based safety programs in collaboration with regional teams Recommend strategies that build and maintain industry best safety standards and programming that reflect USS's commitment to safety.
Work with the Learning department to develop innovative, impactful and meaningful safety training programs required to support cultural and regulatory efforts, and continuously identify and mitigate Safety related risk.
Analyze inspection and incident information to identify root causes and trends, and develop and ensure implementation of preventive or corrective practices.
Work with operational leadership to assess effectiveness of EHS program activities, policies, and procedures and implement changes to improve results and achieve objectives.
Stops operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment.
Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
Computer proficiency in Windows Based Systems with strong knowledge of Database Software Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to conduct training.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
