THE POSITION
The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the dealership's inventory of special service tools and equipment and performing special labor operations to assist the mechanical production staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or equivalent;
Minimum of one (1) year experience in the automotive industry;
Knowledge of automotive tools and their use;
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, Internet and in person; and use standard office equipment.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Organizes and maintains the service department's tool room, tools and equipment.
Controls the disbursement and retrieval of all dealership tools, equipment, technical manuals and supplies.
Takes inventory of tools, equipment, technical service manuals and supplies.
Orders and tracks tools, equipment, technical manuals and supplies.
Maintains and organizes Hazmat and hazardous material disposal records.
Performs other specific administrative functions as directed by management.
Assist in other areas of the Service department, as needed.
Must follow all company safety policies and practices.
Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
Maintains high ethical standards.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
$14.00 per hour (May vary based on experience).
