The IT Help Desk Support Technician is responsible for addressing internal help desk inquiries submitted via phone, email, and ticketing system. The help desk is the first level of
support for PMG employees.
Essential Duties
include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Timely response to and resolution of help desk inquiries
Diagnosis of computer hardware and software problems
Deployment of new PCs, printers, phones, and mobile devices
Creation and deployment of PC images
Maintenance of IT inventory
End user software training
Office work as assigned
Documentation of all work using a ticketing system
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual should possess:
A Bachelor's Degree (mandatory)
At least 2 years' experience in a corporate IT environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills along with excellent customer service skills
Strong aptitude in PC, phone, and printer hardware and software troubleshooting and repair
A+ and Network+ Certifications preferred
Strong background in Windows 7
support required; Windows 8 experience preferred
Experience in Active Directory and Exchange administration
Experience with one or more of the following systems:
ShoreTel and/or Cisco VoIP
Microsoft SCCM
Symantec Endpoint Protection
Microsoft Sharepoint
Ability to communicate problems with supervisors as they become known
Must maintain confidentiality
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Availability to be on-call on nights, weekends, and holidays

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
