Job Description - Help management with oversight of project plans and scheduling in order to hit tight deadlines ie, identifying and managing project tasks, scheduling and resource planning, project purchasing and tracking.
- Develop detailed project plans based on project scope and objectives, budgets and resourcing (both human and material) - Prepare and host kickoff meetings with 3D digital, fabrication and CNC milling teams as well as communicate directly with the customer on status updates and revisions.
-Manage the detailed project plan/schedule (ie, 3D Masterfile) that is used for both internal project status updates and external documents - Track client requirements, and work on test plans with different stakeholders within the organization.
- Raise risks and report any issues or concerns around hitting deadlines, eg, material shortages, vacation/sick schedules, machine / equipment outages or delays, etc.
- Help iterate and consistently improve upon a consistent, scalable project management process that creates efficiency and guidelines for future projects.
- Since work is performed in a shop environment, hands-on work could be involved, ie, review CAD models or participate in assembly or handle large shipments, to realistically manage resource and machine expectations.
Additional hours or weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3
years' experience in project management, with proficiency in Excel and digital tracking tools eg, Odoo, Asana, Jira/Atlassian, etc.
- Ability to commute / relocate to Ventura County location - Ability to demonstrate / provide past examples of project updates, ie status emails, risk / opportunity communications, meeting minutes, etc.
- Great organizational and communication skills, can work in an extremely fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Sense of urgency with a positive, can-do attitude in an entrepreneurial environment - Experience in a prototype or product manufacturing environment preferred - Technical background preferred - ie, hands-on knowledge or capabilities of various CNC milling or fabrication processes, 3D digital rendering eg.
Solidworks - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, preferably in a related field (Mechanical Engineering/Technology/Manufacturing Operations) Job Type:
